First off 0.8 rocks my socks off. Thought I would drop in and say a few of the little niggles that are annoying me a little tho:
* Any chance of with MSN with "display contact name as status" showing or having the option to show before the display name the user's status. eg for someone who's display name is "John Doe - blah blah" and busy having the status show as: "(Busy) John Doe - blah blah". or for someone who is out to lunch and with the same display name showing as: "(Out to Lunch) John Doe - blah blah"
* Is there any consistent way to get the tooltip to show up? I haven't managed to work out the pattern but loads I pause my mouse over a contact and the tooltip doesn't show up.
* Any chance of having a preview of the scripts for status messages and display names...I'll try to explain what I mean. I use a slightly hacked version of the countdown script on Xtras to countdown to stuff (it makes windows friends well jealous...can't do that on Messenger can they?
). But I often get the syntax wrong...yes i'm incompetent...but to see this i have to set my name to something first, and then whatever i've mangled then shows up (i have myself in my contact list so i can see what me display name is). But it'd be good if there was a preview of your display name in Adium > Preferences > Accounts > Display Name. This could auto-hide if no scripts were being use, since it'd be a bit pointless if no scripts were being used.* Do scripts only update every n seconds? I have a different script I wrote that displays my status message in my display name, but if i change my status it takes a few second for the display name to catch up. btw, a script like this might abate the demand for click-edit display name from all the msn folks.
Other more major changes that'd be good sometime in the distant future:
* faking idle times for msn people. ie if i have been online since when some goes idle, aidum could count their idle time.
* personal messages on msn
* other msn 7 stuff.
