Basic questions

OK so I'm new to MAC, somewhat, but especially new to AdiumX. I've got a couple of questions.
1st - how in gods name do you clear the screen of a chat window without closing it and reopening? Keep in mind I'm connecting to the MAC from a PC, so keyboard shortcuts may be a problem.
2nd - Is there a way to turn off the option in a chat window so that if I type two seperate lines it shows my nick each time instead of leaving it off of the second line and so on?
You'll have to excuse the ignorance, but I've looked in the prefs and searched the forums and can't seem to find anything. So any help would be appreciated.
BTW, best client I've used ever. And that's goes for my life long use of PCs.
Best,
Stir

Their is no such function. Why would you want clear it anyways. I didn't realize any IM clents could do this. Woulden't you forget what you where talking about. Their are freatures to keep your last char srround of you so choose.

You have to find a message syle that separtes the lines the way you want. Look arround the xtras site.

I connect to the mac from work, sometimes leaving the system unlocked so I prefer being able to clear the chat window.

Havent't had a problem yet, then again there's always chat log if you use those.

Unfortunately I've found the perfect Message Style, justtext, but it doesn't do that. Is there a way to edit the style, and if so would you know where to start in disabling this "feature?"
Thanks for the assistance,
Stir

I have modified justtext for you. Just send me an email and I'll email it to you.

thelouisguy, thanks for making the change but unfortunately it still does it.
Here's an example, when typing I would see...
Person 1 : blah blah blah
Person 2 : blah blah blah
blah blah blah
Person 1 : so on..
where Person 2 types two lines, pressing enter between each, their nick doesn't show at the 2nd line.
Ideas?
