How can I have the display names of my contacts shown on my contact list without the e-mail next to it...I have been trying to change it but I just can't. I just want to be able to see the display name! But the closest i got was to see the display name next to their e-mail

If you want like, an alias (nickname) for a contact, right click on the contact, go to "Get info" then go to the Settings tab, then type what alias you want, and press Okay.

Then you can change what format you want by going to View > Contact Name Format > (choose what format you want)

how do you remove the alias all in all?

Delete it from the field specified above.
