No more notify?

before i upgraded from 0.7, when a contact come online or went offline. there used to be a box in the middle of my screen to tell me that wots going on.

since upgraded to 0.8. there seem to be no more notifcation in the middle of my screen. i have the latest growl and adium.

wot do i have to do to get this back?
