I am currently in the process of transitioning from iChat to Adium and noticed that some buddies I had blocked were listed as available/idle in my Adium buddy list.
Checking the account with the official AIM client revealed that the buddies were still, according to AIM, blocked.
Does this means that Adium displays blocked buddies (but still honors the block) or does the fact that these buddies re-appear mean that they are no longer blocked while I am using Adium?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide me with!
As far as i know adium does respect your blocked contacts. Try control-click on one of the blocked contacts and see if can "Unblock" it. If you do, this means that they are indeed blocked. If not then this is a bug...

Hi again!
Thank you very much for your reply!
I was definitely asked whether I wanted to "Block" the contact, not unblock it so I guess this means Adium didn't take the block request?

Yes. But this is very strange... For me adium respects all the blocked contacts (under MSN and ICQ) and i know this is what it should do.
Anyone else having this bug?

Just to let you know, I did remove the user from my AIM buddy list through the AIM client and he disappeared from my Adium list. Then, I added it through AIM and it did not appear in AIM (blocked buddies never appear) but it did in Adium, which was open at the same time. While I have no way to test whether the block is effective or not, it seems that this may just be a diverging display policy
I unfortunately only have an AIM account to test, no MSN or ICQ.
