there are all quite random but i have been wondering them for a while....

1. in adium, if a contact is invisible, is there a way to know that?
on a windows computer, if someone goes invisible - it shows them signing off, and they do not appear on the buddylist, but if you get their profile, it will show up [as opposed to "User Information for ___________ is not avialable". On the AIM client in mac, it shows them as being totally offline and you aren't able to contact them - even if they are invisible. I hated that. what does adium show?

2. "auto reply with a custom message"
if you set something as your status message, and check the box that says "auto reply with a custom message" and put a differnet message in there, what does it do? which will adium reply to user's IMs with, and what do they see when you go away?

3. i reorganized/changed the names of some of my groups on AIM but when i sign into Adium it still shows the old catagories and groupings, what must i do to get the new ones to show up? they are shown properly in AIM

1. The point of being invisible is to appear offline to others. An invisible buddy will appear offline in Adium. I do not know what their buddy info will show.

2. Your status message will be set to what you type into the main box, but if somebody sends you a message, then your reply will be what you put in the reply with custom message box. For instance, I could set a status message that says "be right back", and that's what someone would see, but I could set a custom reply message that says "you just can't wait for me to get back, can you", and that's what will be sent if someone sends me a message.

and/or

~/Library/Caches/Adium

Maybe this could be included in Adium: "get information from server"
I've seen a request to get the username from the server.
If changes to the contactlist don't get sent to the server immediately, maybe you could have some sort of "revert to server" or something like that?

I don't know if it's worth it for the time you'll put in it (that's why I don't put it in trac.)
