It's only in America that it's even a two-horse race.
My family and I were talking about Fanta the other day… about how there is no Fanta in the United States (or not much). BUT what is even more rare is the Pepsi Fanta-ish drink which I have never seen but is sold in Japan.

Crazy… what's with these American companies?

Really? Fanta is quite popular here in Spain (specially orange Fanta). And here the Fanta-like on the Pepsi side is called Kas (Kas lemon and Kas orange).

It's the same thing with Dr Pepper...

I love it, but impossible to find some in France! :x

EDIT:
Corrected a too much horrible spelling mistake. Wasn't awake...

if you're into fanta, you might want to check out this site:

http://www.snopes.com/cokelore/fanta.asp

It talks about the history of the Fanta soda pop – very enlightening and entertaining.

Yup, the Fanta-Cola mix is quite popular here in Germany. People usually call it "Spezi", but the Coca-Cola company is also selling it pre-mixed under the brand "Mezzo Mix".

Regarding Dr. Pepper: I haven't noticed it anywhere in continental Europe…

The Pepsi company Fanta equivalent here in Germany is called Mirinda.

Nice OT thread :D

You must be living in the wrong part of the states. I can get fanta two-liter bottles at my local grocery store. 'Tis very yummy. :)

I have a theory that Coke or Pepsi could make a killing by releasing "suicide blends" aka. "It's Coke! It's Mello Yello! It's both!" Kids do that allllll the time. You could make a fortune by selling it in the same bottle. You could just make the art on it look like half of each of the cans. It would be really cool.

For some reason Dr. Peppers has been banned from most European countries...
We used to have it and it got banned, now it's RedBull that is the "cool" drink

The best mix with Fanta is beer... (called clara in the delightfull country of Spain; and drank from a ... damn' I forgot the name)

Anyway, I use Fanta as energy boost, specially during exams(now) it's concentrated sugar!

BANNED?!

For what? Is there something in Dr. P that I didn't know about? I may have to grab a 12-pack on the way home now.

/keeping on abusing this topic

don't really know for sure if it was banned, but in Belgium it was really popular, and suddenly it disapeared.
Europe has some harder laws than the US (think of genetically modified food, ...)

Plus that many young people mixed it with strong alcohol giving weird effects (energy and lazyness at once). Might have been a reason to ban it. (it still happens with other drinks and noone cares)

Damienoneill: to stay at least a bit on topic... as said before, it covers general costs of the project I guess: hosting and so on. If there is more than what is necessary to pay costs, I hope the devs get it, they really do desserve it!

Hosting a site for an application that is so good can't be cheap (somewhere on the old forum there were amazing number of downloads)
And I doubt that the donations pay for all the costs made

Mr. Pibb is a replica of Dr. Pepper, but it's a bullshit replica, 'cuz the dude didn't even get his degree. Alright. Why'd he have to drop out and start makin' pop so soon?

Replica!? No way. Mr Pibb is far more interesting than Dr. Pepper. DP just tastes like a watered down cola to me, but Mr Pibb is a cola with a vaguely spiced and cream soda-ish taste to it. Pibb Rocks!
