Hello,

I have some questions/problems with the Idle status. For some, I think it's a problem, for the others, I'm not sure. So I ask you here.

I made a custon status to go Idle immediatly.

First, gems are all red (away) in the menu to set custon status. But when I save the status, the gems is orange (Idle). In a way it's logic and what I want. But I think it's strange...

I can't be Idle on MSNM, I always appear as away (busy), but my dock icon says that I'm Idle. Is that normal?
It works good when I try on Yahoo.

Then, when I use more than one account, and when I use my Idle Status, my dock icon says that I'm away (sometimes, it stays Idle). I don't understand why.
And when I disconnect, my dock icon still says that I'm Idle...

So, you see that I have many question about how is Idle status working.
Please, tell me what is really a problem and needs a ticket on trac, and what don't.

I hope that my problems are (quite) clearly related...

you can set idle, but it will only appear so for other users, not to you (tu peut te mettre en idle, mais ça ne parraitra que aux autres utilisateurs, pas à toi)

not all protocols or clients can show idle state, the official msn can't AFAIK (pas tous les protocols ou clients savent montrer que tu es idle. le client officiel msn ne peut pas je pense)

I know that I can't see my status. But, the dock icon changes with the different status. And, like I said, it changes strangely...

About msnm, I see/beleive that Adium users can't be Idle. But sometimes, I see users Idle, maybe on PC?

Switch to one of the built-in Dock Icons and see if it reports you as being idle.

Did it.

When I put one account Idle, I only have the Idle board. When two, I have Idle and Away boards. Then I go offline, the Idle board is still there.

PS: I use the French Adium, but I think it changes nothing, only what is written on boards.

Must I submit a ticket for that?

If yes, I don't know exactely what to submit, to describe...
