Where can I ask development related question?

Hiya all,

I have a question about making plugins for Adium. Where is the appropriate place to ask this?

My question is about including frameworks into my target - how does one do it? I tried dragging and dropping Adium.framework and ADiumUtilities but the build won't compile - a certain file referred to in the Adium.pch file apparently doesn't exist. The current guide included with the SVN is a bit outdated.

Any ideas,

Thanks

Kiel :-)

I suggest asking on IRC (#adium on irc.freenode.net).

I tried using the Adium 0.81 source and I still get the same problem.

In Adium.pch it pulls up on this line:
#import <AIUtilities/AIStringUtilities.h> //Everybody should be localizing their strings

And says something along the lines of: File or directory does not exist.

I followed the directions spelt out in the Creating Plugins XCode.rtf and it doesn't work :-(

Any help please?

See my previous post. Also, you might try looking at CBActionSupportPlugin, since it's a very simple working plugin. If you're doing an external plugin (one that isn't built as part of the adium Xcode project), then you might have a look at http://mykogames.info.

You should build AIUtilities and then drag the built AIUtilities.framework from "Products" on your plugin's "Link Binary With Libraries" (inside targets > YourPlugin > Link Binary With Libraries)

also you probably should add "Frameworks/AIUtilities Framework/build" to the Framework Search Paths...
