meshing of message views?

could someone be a sweetheart and outline how (or execute it) to get the header used in shadowrunner and apply it to other message views? i would love to use it on ichadium right now...

It's easy, if a little time consuming. Don't know why you'd want to, though, that header sucks muchly.
Copy "header.html" from Shadowrunner into the other style.
There's only one object in it, identified by id="header1". So, in the css files, we look for "header1". You'll find it in main.css:

Paste that into the main.css file of the other style. (Incidentally, the reason this bit of css starts with a # instead of a . is because we're dealing with an object that has an id, rather than a class. The difference between them isn't important for what we're doing, though.)
That'll give you the black version. If you want the white version, open up mainModWhite.css, which changes two lines:

Just change those in what you pasted into the new style.

thanks a lot...i know it's not the most appealing combo of message styles, but i like having the header showing at all time, plus it matches my dock, dragthing, and growl notifications 8)
ps - how do i change the name? it still says ichadium in the messageview selector in the preferences...i changed the name to ichadiumMod, but to no avail. do i have to change it in one of the css or plist docs?

I think the name is in the info.plist file, change it there, and you should be good

thanks tipo, had to relaunch adium for it to take effect...
is there any additional info i can add to the header? perhaps status of the person, more detailed date (day, month, year), etc.
