Tried searching in trac, but didn't really find anything that seemed to work, so I thought I'd ask here.

Is there anyway to set an auto-reply when you go idle, but not actually show yourself as having gone idle or away? In other words, someone would see me as active and available, but would get an auto-reply message after however many minutes I was away from the computer. I know you can do that in the windows version of AIM, but I'm not sure it was ever possible in the mac version.

Preferences -> Status

Create an available message with an autoreply that you want. Then go down and select "after X minutes of in activity" and select the status you just created from the pop-up.
