I've read on other forums that QQ support might be included, but I just wanted to let the developers know that I (and probably other Adium users) am still interested in seeing this protocol added to Adium at some point in the future.

Perhaps you are already aware of this, but I did manage to--finally!--find a working Mac QQ client called isQ (even has an English localization)... before this, I couldn't find a Mac client at all. If you were not, maybe it would assist you in supporting QQ in Adium? It's basic, but it will work until Adium gains QQ support (and much more convenient than using VPC).

implementing a new protocol is a gaim thing.
You should show your interest to them.

It's also been mentioned about fifty million times, to which the response is always "if it's implemented in gaim, it will make its way to Adium"

Which is the same response that will be given this time, talk to the gaim people about it. http://gaim.sf.net

Not to mention, there is a Trac ticket already in existence about it. Add your comments there. http://trac.adiumx.com/ticket/383 (if this is your trac ticket, then nevermind, but still talk to the gaim people over the Adium people for this.)
