Is there a way to change the color of the text of a user's name without it affecting the color of the user's name on the Dock icon? For instance: I want to be able to see on my contact list which people have sent me messages that I have not yet read, so I set "Unviewed content" to blue in the color customization prefs. But when I do that, the name that flashes on the Dock icon is now blue text on a blue background.

I am wrong in thinking that we could do that in the last version? If it is a recent change, is that functionality going to be added again, or has it been decided against?

As far as I remember, you couldn't do this at any point in recent Adium history. The dock badges have always followed contact list colour themes, as it would make very little sense for a new user to have two completely different colour schemes indicating the exact same status.

That's not what I meant. I was talking about when the user sets only the text of a buddy's name to change color. The color that is selected also affects the color of the text on the Dock icon. So if I set the text of a buddy's name to turn blue when I have a new message from them, their name appears blue on a blue background on the Dock, making it impossible to read.

The dock badge should just mirror the contact list colours, whatever you've set them to. So in your case - the text colour setting is affecting the background colour setting?

I'm having a hard time explaining this action, so I guess some screenshots are in order.

I want to set the text of a buddy's name in the buddy list to change color, like so:

It was my memory that you could set the text to change color without affecting the dock icon in the last version. If that was the case, I was wondering if this was removed as part of the rewrite, or if it was removed as part of an interface design decision.
