Transferring a buddy list

Post by dgoldblatt »

Is there a way to copy a buddy list from one screen name to another? I don't have access to the old screen name anymore, but I figure there must be a file on my computer here somewhere, but I can't find it. I can find an old version of Adium, but not AdiumX, so it isn't up to date.

Any help would be appreciated.

If it's adium 1.6x then you can use the preference importer app that comes with AdiumX, otherwise evands wrote an app that can get your buddy list from a file that should still be in your application support folder, the app should be mentioned on these forums somewhere have a search :)

After much searching, any many steps, that program you mentioned did the trick. Thanks a ton.

Here's the link to it if anyone else had the same problem -- http://evands.penguinmilitia.net/Adium- ... Export.zip
