It's OK, I've decided to go with Applescript only because even after parsing the blist.xml file, you still have to ask Adium for the contacts names and statuses.
How about having an option on the back that says “Use Adium's contact aliases/metacontacts” and it'll import them all, only once. That might work…Ludge wrote:It's OK, I've decided to go with Applescript only because even after parsing the blist.xml file, you still have to ask Adium for the contacts names and statuses.
But all that does is give you a list of buddy IDs (eg MSN passports, AIM nicks etc) with very little else. I don't quite understand what you were suggesting. Plus, as Evan said, that isn't particularly reliable in the long term.zaudragon wrote:How about having an option on the back that says “Use Adium's contact aliases/metacontacts” and it'll import them all, only once. Heh. I submitted that bug “report” here. I think I had too many contacts; it worked for all the other people here with less!Ludge wrote:The widget stops working when there are more than 123 contacts in your list!
That's what set me off. When I saw how many you had I went on a massive trial and error binge trying to find how many was the cut-off point!zaudragon wrote:Heh. I submitted that bug “report” here.
