If anybody knows, could you tell please how to set encoding of incoming messages. This feature seems to exist as it is described in trac.adiumx.com for version 0.70 -- "(ICQ) Added support for specifying a custom text encoding". I haven't found the option in version 0.81.
I am getting unreadable Russian messages from ICQ clients. To read the messages I tried different fonts that include cyrylic characters but that did not help.

It's in the Options tab of your ICQ Account.Pavel wrote:If anybody knows, could you tell please how to set encoding of incoming messages. Thank you!zaudragon wrote: It's in the Options tab of your ICQ Account.
Tried different encodings.
Does this encoding setting apply only to new messages? Is there a way to view messages that I already recieved (history) ?

The logs are HTML so theoretically you could view them in Safari.Pavel wrote:Thank you!zaudragon wrote: It's in the Options tab of your ICQ Account.

I think the html is generated on the fly. As what i found is a template for the log, but i haven't found the content itself (grep ICQ# or Nickname) in any of the files.zaudragon wrote: The logs are HTML so theoretically you could view them in Safari.
