I can't seem to get Adium working with Growl under Tiger. On my work machine running Panther, I managed to get it working by removing Adium from the app list, checking and rechecking a bunch of stuff. But no dice on Tiger.
Adium also doesn't play any of the sounds I have specified for events.

Curiouser and curiouser. Do any events work at all? Bounce dock icon, show name in dock, etc? Are you running 0.82?

Are you guys using the Growl installed by Adium or are you downloading and installing it from the Growl website?

Yes, some events do work. The "Bounce Icon" event works, as does the "Flash Name in Dock" event. But for some reason, sounds and Growl notifications don't want to work.
And yes, this is the official Growl install from the web site. I managed to get all other apps except, curiously, Cyberduck working with Growl.

Cyberduck has a beta in their forums that fixes that issue.

Oh wait, alert sounds do work. The problem seems to just be with Growl.

I'm not sure, I had to reinstall everything when I went to Tiger (well not, had to, I wanted a clean install though). I'm on Growl 0.7 though. Anyway to make Adium force reinstall Growl then?
Also, everything else works for me (including my super awesome soundset </shameless plug>), just not Growl.
Finally, Durandal is the name of one of my hard drives, and I'm using an icon from the same set that you are using as your avatar Durandal. I would say "what are the odds", but since this is a Mac forum, of course someone else has plaied Marathon here.

sorry off topic..
can i jz ask if growl still take a lot of system resources to run? if i run grown with adium on a g3/400 imac adium slows to a crawl.. i've since uninstalled growl but can anyone say if it runs faster since .6 and adium 0.8 beta?

My avatar didn't come in a set. I made it myself. I call it "Marathon Petrified".
