Growl isn't working with Adium?

Hi,
For a while now, I've been noticing that Adium hasn't been working at all with Growl (I've got both Adium .82 and Growl .7). I looked in the Alert pane, and added "send a Growl notification" to the events I want, and it's still not working. help?

Did you also check the Growl preference pane to make sure 1) Adium is enabled for growl, and 2) The notifications you want are enabled within that? Also check what notifications are being used. Perhaps for some reason you have it set to MailMe with no recipient?

I checked all of that stuff, (I'm using smoke, not mailme) and it still doesn't work. :-(

Show us a screen shot of event prefs in adium expanded, and the adium app ticket selected in the applications tab of growl

I was having exactly the same problem, but I've just managed to get it to work. I was actually about to send in screenshots of my setup lol, but I simply turned growl on and off, changed the display style to something else then back again, and double clicked on one of my settings in Adium to set the "show growl notifcation" and all seems to be working okay now.
I think it's more of a Growl thing than an Adium thing, as it used to work with Coloquay then stopped - but now is back again.
Seems if you change the display style to something else, then back again - it works.

Its no big deal, its just that when I load it, its blank, then I re-load - still blank then.

Please expand the disclosure triangles, take a screen shot, and then post the link. Sorry for not being verbose about this earlier

What are you people running, who can't get growl to work?
Tiger, on an ibook, possibly? Or some-other G3?
(its just a theory, but worth following)

hey guys, it sounds like you are having some of the same problems I am having. I cannot get growl to work on anything but synergy. The programs are registered but nothing helps. It seemed to happen when I got the new version of growl or when I got the growlchat program. Let me know if you can help me. I really want this to get running again.
Thanks,
-Befloyd

I am also one of those people that has the same problem. It works with iScrobber, iTunes, etc, but not Adium. I have done what everyone else said, and I'm still having the same problems.
10.4.1, G4 867.
This is how you fix...

Go into your Adium preferences, then Events, then you can choose "Visual Notifications." Notice the "Message Received Background"...it literally says, "Display a Growl notification." You need to edit any events you want to use growl to also display this growl notification. This worked for me...

Just to post what it looks like...
As you can see, it's there. However, inside, I don't have it checked as Sticky, as I don't want that.
