Others can´t read my status message

As the topic says other people in my list can´t read my status message in ICQ and AIM, Jabber is working though, don´t know about the other services.
I´m using Adium 0.82.
Is this a bug in Adium, Gaim or on my side?

The official Mac client can neither send nor receive them. Strangely, Adium's status messages get sent over ICQ and are definitely received by other Adium users... no idea about compatilbity beyond that.

A friend of mine uses the official ICQ Client on Win and I can see his status messages.
But others can´t see my status message on ICQ and AIM even if they use Adium!

How on the MSN network can you get Status messeges to work?
