[Req] IM to E-Mail while away script/plugin

Good morning,

I'm looking for a plugin that while I'm away will forward any IM's I receive to a specific e-mail address. I am assuming this is a task that could be handled and I was surprised to see it hasn't been done already.

I am forwarding this to my phone (trouble with AIM mobile, hence this request) so I would prefer the email to be in this style:

To: my phone email address
Subject: screenname of person sending me the IM
Message: IM text, up to 160 characters

This would send through the standmail Mail.app using whatever settings are there.

I'm looking for a good Applescript tutorial that could trigger everytime I get a new IM but I need to look farther but I've got the psudocode in my head. This would also be my first Applescript so I think its a good way to start learning.

Any takers? If you'd like, catch me on AIM at MDWeezer and maybe this is something we can write together. Thanks!

Take care.

You might be able to pull this off via Growl. There is a Growl display called MailMe, that e-mails Growl notifications instead of displaying them on your screen. So you could set an Adium event to let a Growl notification trigger when a new message received and if the Growl display is set to MailMe, that message should be emailed to you.

Guess what, MailMe isnt mailing!

I just installed Growl today, and on Tiger which was just installed and updated to 10.4.7 yesterday on a freshly initialized disk.

Everything is new.

How do I get MailMe to work? I set the recipient to my cell phones email address, so I can get my gmail+Growl to basically notify me of new emails to my cell.

I've tested it several times. Nothing.

Console shows (I hid my email address):
2006-07-29 00:17:10.443 GrowlHelperApp[2475] (MailMe) WARNING: Could not send email message "Preview" to address ***********@mms.uscc.com
