If you mean the message that tells you that you are signed into AIM in two places, I am pretty sure you can't get rid of that.

Start signing off when you stop using a computer and you won't see it.

Yes and no. I've the problem on my machine and I'm the only user and never ever login to AOL from another place.

But I'm behind an ADSL connection handled by a router/firewall and each time my internet connection is reset by my ISP, I got the message. Because the AOL servers have not yet seen that my connection got broken so when Adium X reconnects the servers already see a connection and send the message.

Nothing that can really be done here, except intercepting the messages and returning automatically 1 as an answer. All of this in silent mode.

The only reason you have that is if you are signed on in multiple places.. Maybe you should try resetting your password?

No, I have the same problem as Raf. I never am signed on from any location but my home computer. In my case, I'm fairly sure that my wireless router is causing it. Any time a file larger than roughly 1MB is uploaded over my network, my router flips out and resets the connection to the internet. I go offline at this time, and when Adium reconnects, the AOL System Message pops up for my AIM account.

So you should only get that message if you are signed on in two locations, but the reality of it is you can get the message at any moment depending on your setup/situation.

Well, actually, to the aol servers you are still signed on from 2 locations, even though it's one physical location. The previous connection didn't disconnect, and I assume it doesn't take long for your router to restart, so that's why it's seeing 2 connections

There isn't much we can do here. Have you tried updating your routers firmware?

The last time I checked, I was using the most up-to-date official firmware. Anyways, the wireless took so long to get (semi) working that I'm not sure I ever want to touch my router again. :P

You can't, can you? People have tried blocking and warning it, and nothing happens, so unless things recently changed, that won't work.
