Repeating console message about /Users/evands

I just discovered that some application (probably Adium 0.82) is repeating a console message every few seconds. Not nice :). Here is it:

Error result [14:28:34] OSStatus -1753:
OSAExecuteEvent([self instanceRecord], [anEvent aeDesc], [self scriptID], [self executionModeFlags], &theResultScriptID)
file: /Users/evands/adiumDaily/adium-0.8/Frameworks/Adium Framework/NDScriptData.m
function: -[NDScriptContext executeEvent:]
line: 682.

Might this be related to some script I'm using? It would still be wierd, as it's pointing to /Users/evands, a user which obviously doesn't exist on my system.

Any thoughts?

Ah-ha! See! I told you that evands character was really writing a sophisticated phishing app-this is him emailing himself all your bank details, clearly.

You could try redownloading Adium, perhaps your copy got corrupted somehow, at the same time try this, following the instructions for troubleshooting preferences.

haha :)

It's erroring while running an applescript.. probably a script you have in your away message, display name, or profile. Adium 0.90 and later won't be using NDScriptContext...

%_statusMessage

Thanks for the replies!

My MSN display name is set to "Jan :: %_statusMessage"; the actual status message is set through a script or while going to idle. Nothing too fancy I presume...

I can't seem to connect to MSN right now (MS status page says they messed up), so I'm not able to reproduce the problem just yet. I'll try later on.

Wasn’t %_statusMessage b0rked? I remember it was b0rked once… is it still?

No it's fixed now, although looking up clearly maybe it isn't :P

While it works, in 0.8x any Applescript will inevitably crash Adium eventually, and it seems it'll happen more quickly on some computers than others. The whole thing is completely redone for 0.90 and will no longer be an issue.

Careful..you'll have people asking when it's due out with comments like that :P. Great news.
