my font doesn't change for other people

i have tried everything from using default formatting to clearing out my library and having it rebuild it, and nothing seems to work. i have .82 and my font is set to size 10 verdana, it will show up like this on my screen w/in adium but on any other computer it shows up as 12 helvetica or whatever the default is. i've tried moving to the beta, changing message styles, etc. anybody know whats going on?
