I'd like it if Adium could remember the order of tabs in the tabed windows. It would be easier for me if certian people were always to the side of other certain people. Thanks.

You could use the preference to sort tabs in contact list order, then use manual ordering in your contact list.

But I like having my contact list sort people by availability, but I don't want the same thing in my tabs. Iwant people to be where they should be regardless of away or not. I often send messages to people who are away, or pretending to be away, and that would break my goal of having everyone sorted in proper tab order.

This goes into the "too much" pile I think.

how about just letting peoply drag the tab to a new position in the same window (ie. same as if u dragged the tab to a new window or another window, but this time allow for ordering)

off topic, i think firefox needs to allow tab ordering too..

You CAN drag the tabs around the message window already.
