okay, dont worry. this isnt another "why isnt my font sticking!!1!!11!!one~one!11" thread.

ill try to explain this the best i can...

i am trying to type something in size 48 impact font, each letter of the word a different color on an away message. it shows up fine on the away message preview, and the 'status' window..but when i look at my away mesage from the profile window, or when it sends to other people, the first letter is 48 impact and all the others are smaller (around 24 pt).

basically: the colors and font sticks to my rainbow-ish text, but the size doesn't.

what am i doing wrong? or is this a bug?
i can post screenshots if i have confused you..just let me know!

I think notyourstar is saying that 48pt shows up as 24pt to buddies.

This is probably a limitation in HTML; while AIM uses both ABSZ and SIZE in FONT tags (ABSZ being the pt number and SIZE being the old 1-7 numbers), you can only get a size as high as HTML SIZE 7.

this is how it shows up on my status menu, status window and how i want it to show up....also how its set.


this is how it shows up when people look at my profile/away message and how it is sent to others.

only the first letter/number of whatever is colored is the correct size. im not sure why it does this. help/explination?

This happens to me also... for instance, I set size 9 font Arial relatively often when I write my class schedule in an away message (it happens in buddy profile, too) with different colors, only the first color is size nine, and then it defaults the following colors to size 12.
