"unknown conversation error"

Post by vet1931 »

Hi.

I have version .82 and I am on a Mac running OS 10.3.9 - I am trying to chat with someone on MSN and this error popped up twice. What does it mean? Is this person receiving the messages I am trying to send?

Thanks

ive found (this is from AIM, though) that they receive most of the messages, just not the one sent right before the error... just resend that one... and it usually goes through (not sure what causes this)

When I get this error I get it exactly 1 minute after my message and no, they don't get my message. What 'causes it (4 of 5 times) in my case is that the internet connection is down.
It's not a bug. It's an undocumented feature.

Probably not. This error is actually "The last message may not have been sent because a timeout occurred." The error will at least be reported correctly in 0.83.
The duck still burns.

wat are the most probable problems that cause this error? it's kind of infuriating if u just sent 8 msgs and all 8 come back with an error 1-5 minutes later (i think once i got the error back 10 mins later, after the contact had gone offline)
