Custom emoticons from contacts

is there an option or is there something being developed on it to also show the custom emoticons from the contacts in the list?
for example: every time i am conversating with a contact i get this code (hug), which supposed to be a custom emoticon form my contactperson.

MSN is the only protocol in which the sending of emoticons actually happens, and its up to gaim to implement, not Adium. That said, this has been requested to absolute death, so I'm locking this.

Side note: My family is from Sliedrecht
