Whenever I try to double click my account name in the preferences window (is that the only way to make a profile?), Adium "unexpectedly quits". If there is something I am doing wrong, someone tell me.

First of all, your post is not very clear as to what you are doing and what is going wrong.

Second of all, the great Adium devs have created a place where all bug-like errors can be put together. It's much easyer for them to give you correct answer.
