This is a feature in the regular aim program (offered at aim.com) and in iChat. I'd love the ability to block everyone who is <i>not</i> on my buddy list. i.e. allow ONLY those on my buddy list to see me.

I searched around for a topic on this, but couldn't find a current discussion or suggestion on it.

So, here goes. That's my suggestion. Especially since Adium is moving in the direction of recognizing blocked buddies, I think it'd be a well liked and powerful feature to implement at the same time.

Also, if anyone knows a temporary workaround, I'd love to hear it.

If you set that in the official AIM client, Adium should honor that setting.

It's already posted on track and will be in 0.90 according to the roadmap.
