Contact List Disappering

Has anybody had their contact list completely disappear? It's so weird. I had been connected to AIM for 9 days straight (woo, broke my own record of 7) 
and left my contact list completely visible with all the other programs hidden before I went to bed last night. When I woke up this morning, I could see that Adium was still on, could see that I was still online (by signing on with a different screen name thru iChat) but my Contact List was gone and despite all my attempts to bring it back (most obviously, Window, Contact List or Command /), it simply would not come back on.
The only way that brought it back was by quitting Adium altogether, and reconnecting. This has happened to be more than once, and usually when I have been connected for days and days at a time. Anybody have this issue or am I just crazy? If so, any clue how to fix it?
