Logging buddies' login/out events?

Hi,

Is there any way I can use Adium (or anything else) to log the events triggered by my contacts (login/logout/status change etc.)?

You see, my Powerbook was stolen last week. I was a Proteus user. Proteus was confgured to automatically go online to my four IM protocol accounts when a net connection was present.

It's a long shot, I know, but I have created four new honeypot accounts and added my(old)self as a buddy to each. If my machine and Proteus now come online when I'm online, I should see myself...

But I need to be able to log that stuff as I won't be available all day every day to watch out for this. I'm using a replacement Windows PC at home and have managed to get an IM app called Miranda, plus a lastseen plugin, to log all appearances of my old self to a file. I wonder if it's possible to use Adium or anything else on my workplace Mac OS X to do the same?

Many thanks

My initial thought would be to set up an event (get info on each of your accounts) to open a message window when they sign online. Adium will show status changes in the open message window - although you may not get any indicator of what time the window was opened, I'd have to try it to see.

You could just start a new message with each of your screen names (Cmd-N). Then keep the window open and minimized and whenever they sign on/off or change status it'll show that in the message window.
