Contact list view; mobile contacts

Post by superpants312 »

Does anyone know if it's possible to identify mobile contacts by color? Or even to exclude them completely? As of right now, I have to rely on status icons to denote a mobile user, and I really don't like to sort my buddies by status.

Any ideas?

Thanks a lot!

Yes, I was wanting the same thing. To be able to identify mobile users by color.

That probably won’t happen. The devs put mobile in for a reason, and that is because many people complained. Mobile was Available in the beginning, not Offline.

Yes, but it shouldn't be that hard to implement some sort of coloring for them. They get their own icon, so the differentiation is already there.

The colouring idea has been rejected a long time ago. Among other reasons, it's really hard to get a ton of colours to look good together. That is why different states of away on MSN, for example, don't have their own colourings.

The status icon is, and probably will remain, the only way to differentiate the contacts. Please do note that you can sort the mobile contacts into a different section if you're sorting by status.
