I'm confused. Are MSN, Yahoo, and AIM all GPL?
Whatever the case may be, from a user perspective I would love to have the ability to text chat with Skype users from Adium. This is because Adium is always open and running on my mac, but Skype isn't. This way someone could let me know they wish to start a Skype VOIP session using Chat without my having to have Skype running.

I haven't even looked at it, but you guys are missing my question. My question was "is the license compatible" which was actually 2 questions hidden in one for brevity:
1) Do they have a license for it?
2) If they do, is it compatible with something we can use.
Adium is not limited to just GPL software, and that was not implied here.
Either way, this discussion has become pointless.
