Has This Been Fixed in Adium?

I'm using .78 because in .8, they got rid of a feature I loved. When you had a convo window open and the person changed status and set an away message, you could see the message. If you left a window open, it would say they came back, then if they went away again with another message, it said XXXX is away. "shopping." in their window. I really liked that, it's good at college. But when I upgraded to .8, that was gone. Has that been put back in? Thanks.

I miss that too. I seem to get some sporadic results with it though. It's really weird.

It seems to work fine for me in 0.82 using Adium for AIM.

I think this may partially depend on the message style. Perhaps you could investigate some other ones to see if this is the case?

I haven't changed my message style, is the problem. Just one upgrade of Adium, it stopped.

It is a per-message-style bug. You should either contact/bug the style author, of look in the .AdiuMessageStyle package and edit it (I think) as follows:

in your home folder, in Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0/Message styles/
right-click on the offending style, chose 'show package contents'
go in Contents/Resources/
open Status.html in a text editor (TextEdit in textonly mode [check 'ignore rich text commands' in the file-open dialog if need be], emacs, vi...)
add, if it's missing, this line at the end of the file:

Code: Select all

<div id="insert"></div>
If it's not missing, then either I'm misremembering, or this is a different bug.

Hmm, well, if anyone wants to know, I'm using Mockie, so apparently this issue does not affect Mockie :)
