What does the following error message mean for the MSN service?

"could not send; a connection error occurred"

I think I'm getting it when someone is trying to send me a message because it happens several minutes after I send them something.

It would be nice if error messages were more intuitive or there was some kind of link that would help you find out more information about the problem.

I've been getting this error recently too, and its very very frustrating as it means the IM is basically useless!

Any help would be kindly appreciated.

I've been seeing this more and more lately. It does tend to go in spurts though, so maybe it'll go away soon

the only workaround I have found was to quit Adium and relaunch.

Most of the time it worked. But still very ennoying
