v0.84 incoming message font/color problem

In AdiumX v0.84, under Messages in Preferences, there are the options of "Show received message fonts" and "Show received message colors".
My problem is that when I check only "Show received message FONTS", it also shows the font color as well (but not the background color).
The problem is fixed if I go back to version 0.82 but returns if I'm using version 0.84. Is this a bug or is there something I need to do to fix it?
