In my chat tabs and buddy list color bubbles are next to the names. Green for active Yellow for Idle and Red for away and grey in a tab if not connnected I was woondering , however, what a blue bubble meant. Any help would be greatly apppreciated.

It means Adium can't figure out their status.

This applies to Chat Rooms (which aren't really contacts but have tabs) and also AIM buddies when your network connection is being flaky. I've also seen it happen sometimes (rarely) with people who IM me when invisible.

I also see the blue when I have a chat with someone not on my buddy list. It usually reverts to a green, yellow, or red one after a few minutes though.

I think blue means you have a new message that you have not checked. the pencil with a line if they are writing. A paperclip if they are typing something then stopped. :D

It's a lightblue chatbubble if it's an unviewed message. Darkblue ball if it's a person not in my list. Think the blue one is named unknown.gif in the statusiconpack.

And ICQ and YIM.

...that leaves Jabber and a bunch of things no one cares about.

Except for the people using those.

I also get the blue bubble when I am in a AIM chat room.

Not that it's a problem or anything, just mentioning it. :)

I kind of figured it was cause Adium couldn't figure out the status, as was mentioned above.
