No, this is not a request thread about Adium needing Video and Voice support.
I just read their website, and have confirmed that the project is
dead.
But have no fear.
Sep 21, 2005 - Delayed announcement that gaim-vv is dead. All is not lost, though, as we're in the process of forward porting to gaim 2.x. Yes! This means we're aiming to include -vv abilities to the next major release of gaim! Subsequently, gaim-vv is no longer directly supported, and only lib2k and gstj2k will be supported.
So we
might see -VV support in 2.x. Which isn't that far away(?).
I posted this because I think people might wonder what they are doing.
Here is the link to the website if someone is wondering:

Very cool.
The Gaim's team goal is to have a 2.0.0 beta before the end of the year... there's still a lot to be done, but it's coming along nicely.

So does this mean that they're going to continue work in -vv features, but as part of Gaim? Or does it mean they've stopped and are porting the current features back in Gaim?

No, it means that they'll stop working on -VV for a while, then maybe bring it back when the time is right. What they have finished so far will be included in the next major Gaim release.

Which means gaim will be bigger for almost no use..

Ah right, thanks for clearing that up.

We may have some AV capabilities soon, then. I just hope someone else will finish the job.
