I use Adium while I play and have seen programs that have options for changing iChat status to "Ghost Recon" for example when I start Ghost Recon (a game). I would love to be able to set within Adium statuses such as Away - Ghost Recon when Adium detects that I've started Ghost Recon. Of course, all this would be configurable. Waddya think?

I think, perhaps, that this would confuse the computer. You could be doing anything on another program and your status would go to that App name.. For instance, if I need to check my mail, my status would show up as "Mail". I just think that would be really messy.

Already possible with AppleScript. It'll automatically show the app you are using.

The frontmost, yes, which is exactly what he needs to happen. Some people have a program called GameRanger Prenium, which will set your message to away when using it.

No...it would be configurable. Example: I set up Adium to set status to Away - Ghost Recon whenever Ghost Recon is running. No other programs would change Adium's status unless I set it up to do that.

GameRanger Premium is what I usually use but it sets iChat, not Adium.
