Status/Profile Icons (Not Buddy Icons) Problem

I hate making topics here first off. I always feel like I'm not letting you guys feel like you are doing a great job, which you are. 
I have noticed a small... annoyance, I guess you can call it, that has been happening since I switched to Adium.
Basically, when I view my friend's away message via the mouseover, or look in a person's profile (get info), some icons may not look right. For example, my friend's away message includes "© ya" (or copyright ya if it doesn't show up in phpBB). I know that it's supposed to be Zaft Dingbats, making the heart symbol. However, the font doesn't transfer over.
I'm using the latest beta, but it isn't beta specific, so that's why I'm posting here for now. I also couldn't find this posted anywhere, as basically I didn't know where to search for it. So I'm sorry if it has been discussed before.
