just a question that might improve the transfer-speed of my adium.
which port does adium use to transfer files?

Depends on the IM service you are using. I believe AIM uses ports 5190-5200. Since you are talking about speed, I assume you could be talking about MSN :lol:

In that case, I'm not sure what ports MSN uses :P

well, maybe i can forward that port from my router and i hope i will get an improvement of speed in the transfer.
and on top of it i can approve adium to use the port through my firewall.
