Status in Menu Bar

Is it possible to some how Append your current status after the Menu bar Icon. I know there is not an option in the preferences to do so but wondered if there was any other way. I set my status and sometimes forget that it is set. I think it might be good to to have e.g. (Duck) Away for instance

They have an away message that you can put up just like AIM. the one that sits on your desktop. I don't know exactly how to make it come up by memory so ill leave that to someone else. I see what you mean by the menubar. That's not a bad idea but you can leave a ticket or something I forgot the link. Somone else will know.

To make the status window appear, go into: Preferences -> Stauts

There is a checkbox in the bottom half of the window that allows you to make the status window appear while away
