Hi,

in my Adium's Preferences I choosed, that a text is spoken when someone's logging on or off.

When I start Adium, the spoken voice is very slow until I open and close the Voice's Preferences without changing anything. After that the voice is talking very clear and in a normal speed to me.

I am using "Vicky", but it does not depends on "who" is talking. The same effect are happening to all voices.

Is that a bug? What can I do?

Have you tried looking at the talking speed in the speech preferences? I know you said it works fine after but its worth a shot. Also just out of curiosity why do you have it speak the name? If you just want to see it from far away try growl. I think the tick will agree.

Is this new to 0.85?

It seems likely that http://trac.adiumx.com/ticket/672 is the same problem.

I never had the problem with older adium versions, so I can't say if its new. But it seems to be the same problem.

Always default, even if I change it to "faster". After an Adium restart its default again (default: slides set to middle postition).

Why I want to have talked the name? Because I want to hear who is loggin on or of
