2 zac : and this ?
mm, it could be flakiness with your internet connection. I know stuff like that was happening during some network problems here.
Usually connection problems are more of an internet thing, not a client (Go Adium) or computer (Go Macs!) thing
I know people that sign off and on often and Its because of their internet.
2 evands : I've seen the same problem with netstat at work so I've opened a ticket. And thank you for your previous post, it's the main part of the ticket I've opened !

That's one person suggesting a
possible reason, not flat-out saying "it's definitely your internet connection." See the "could be"? This is called PROBLEM SOLVING. If you don't like the fact that problem solving involves going through every possible cause, I suggest you try and fix it yourself.

That's not entirely true. Ninjas jumping out from the shadows to quickly hit cmd-shift-k when he blinks are a
possible cause, but not one that a typical problem solver would suggest. That said, it could be flakiness with his internet connection.
Anyway, I occasionally have a similar problem, where if I leave Adium connected overnight or while I'm at class or work, I'll come back and find it in a strange state of limbo. It still thinks I'm online but that all my buddies have died. (Problem solver: "Maybe ninjas leapt from the shadows to murder all your friends!") I think I can still send messages if I guess at someone who's online, though it does the "Your friend has been killed by ninjas. Send Now / Send Later" dialog box first. Presumably it's getting disconnected due to a wireless hiccup, but then not fully reconnecting.

Yes, it's a possible cause that idi^H^H^Hyou think of, and ignore, and proceed asking rational questions and not idiotic banter.
