saving Image Picker icons

Is there any way to save icons made in the Image Picker? I used to use a program called iChat Cache Viewer, but that's slow and only works with icons that I assign to iChat, not Adium icons. Do I just have to deal with that or is there another option?

After you set your icon, highlight yourself in your contact list and 'Get Info' by hitting Command - i.

Then drag the icon from the info window to the desktop. It turns it into a 'picture clipping' file, don't know how useful that is

You can save any contact's icons by getting info on the selected contact, clicking the picture and copying it to the pasteboard (that is, command C).

You can also hit Command C with the Image Picker in the foreground and copy the image to your pasteboard, too.
