I know people that us an emoticon in there Alias on MSN and i was wondering is there a way to get that to display while imm talking to them. And in the contact list?

In the next version, tooltips for contacts will show emoticons in the display name.

In the contact list, I think this was an idea ruled out by other devs... I could investigate however... (we'd need to use smaller variants of the emoticons which means graphics processing).

And the conversation window... I've looked into this briefly but I haven't come up with anything conclusive. If you create a ticket, I'll look into it.

If it does start happening in the Contact list it would be really nice to have the option to turn it off. Personally I find graphical emoticons in Aliases to be a pain.
