Hi everyone,
sorry if a topic already exist on the subject but if it's the case I haven't found it...
I would like to learn how to make an emoticon set, if it's possible to do so...
hope someone will be able to help me...

(sorry for my english, I'm french...........)

basicaly what youll need to do is create a folder, add in all the emoticons you want to use and then add in an emoticon.plist file. if you dont know how to create a .plist i would suggest opening up another set of emoticons and using that plist, modifying it to fit your set
change all the files under emoticons to your file names, the name for each one to the file name without the extension and for equivialnts just edit it so that each number represents a key combo for each emoticon

actually, I don't know where to find a .plist file... I saw one once but I didn't know which application I had to choose to open it...now i guess you open it with a text editor...?

ETA: well, I created the folder with juste the images, and I have another question, is there a maximum size for the smiley? because there is very big smiley...like 100x100...(I can resize them but i would prefer not to do it lol)

ETA 2: I've found an xtra with a .plist file, but also a .css file...I understood how it works, and I edited them to match with my emoticons,
but after that, I don't know how to install them on adium

just take your folder and add .adiumemoticonset at the end and it sould start working

I've just done it, it told me it was installed, then when I click "open the preferences" it made Adium quit, and now I can't reopen it!!! it make the report call open...

ETA: well...I fixed it by deleting the installation but it means my emoticon set doesn't work...why??
maybe the system of the .css and the .plist wasn't good...?
