I know there are a decent amount of people that want VOIP support in Adium and since PhoneGaim is based off gaim which you know from there, why not implement it into adium? all the protocols would be supported maybe not all with VOIP capability but most will. Is it a matter of it being hard to put into Adium's code or is it something else?
anyway if you want the source you can get it here

Because that would mean they have to re-write the whole core?Crypt wrote:no no no what im saying is why not use this framework isntead of the regular libgaim framework. they are both based off gaim and i don't see why it wouldn't work
I rather see VoIP through plug-ins then pre-built into the application, when it comes to Adium that is.
And I guess, if you base it on this phone libgaim, we will be "late" in development. That is that, they update their code after gaim has released a later version. So we have to wait for phonegaim to incorporate new features, and then after that we can start working on it.
This would be a waste of time.
