Hide messages while away?

Just wondering if anyone knows of an Adium preference that will allow you to hide messages while you're in an away state, like AIM does? I've looked through the preferences top-down and can't find anything... and i've also tried to search around the Adium extras for a possible solution with no luck.
I'm gonna feel really stupid if the answer is staring me straight in the face... but if anyone knows how to maybe make this option work, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

This ticket sort of addresses that issue. I don't believe this function currently exists in Adium, and I do not know what the devs' plans are concerning it.

If all your messages are set to appear in one tabbed window, I believe you can just minimize the window to the dock, and any IMs you get from new people will just show up in the tabs of the minimized window. I'm not absolutely certain though.
Alternately (and more certainly) you can just hide the entire Adium application so the program and buddy list aren't visible, and the IMs definitely won't show up until you make Adium visual by switching to it.

Hey all-
Thanks for the info, both of you!
Yeah... the option to just minimize it does work, i believe. I guess i'm just lazy and too used to AIM.

Thanks for the pointers, though!
I really wish the Adium team would reconsider the option of hiding messages while away, though. To me, its just a simple solution (maybe not in programming) to keep your desktop and dock clutter-free while trying to work in other applications while away. Again, my lazy outlook.
Thanks again for the tips, both of you.

Just hide (cmd+h, Adium > Hide) adium.
