Making only "available" background invisible?

I want to set up my contact list so that available contacts have a 0% opacity (invisible background) and aways have a slightly colored, etc.
Is there any way to do this? It seems the master opacity overrides the individual contact list color scheme tweaking.

So you want your available contacts to have a transparent background and your unavailable contacts to have an opaque background?
I don't think this is possible. I've tried this myself by going to Appearance prefs, going into your Color Theme, and changing the backgrounds around for different statuses. It didn't seem to work for me.[/i]

Yes, that's exactly what I want to do. I want my available contacts to just float in 5% opacity, and my away ones to be on a solid color. I tried too. Oh well.
Let me know if you find a way and I'll do likewise

This will be possible in Adium 1.0.
